Reading Skills Programs
for Children and Adults
 The
Institute of Reading Development (IRD) through Pasadena City College Extended Learning is excited to
offer
eight
different speed reading and reading skills programs
this summer. The Institute of Reading Development instructors are professional educators committed to producing a significant boost in student reading skills and
comprehension, in addition to fostering a lifelong interest in reading for pleasure.
Instructors are drawn from the faculty of the Institute of Reading Development, and all curriculum and materials have been approved by Pasadena City College, Extended Learning. Parent and student evaluations indicate that these programs are remarkably successful in turning poor readers into good readers and good readers into great readers.
